Foothill Coach Ty Watkins said that his young team “needs to learn how to win.” In the past two weeks Brown, a junior, has teamed with sophomore Christine Mann to do that, leading Foothill to a 9-0 start. Brown averaged 16 points in four Mission Viejo Tournament games. She had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the final, a 56-46 victory over Woodbridge and was named MVP. “She’s been working on her inside game for the last year and a half,” Watkins said. “She’s a very good offensive rebounder.”
