The City Council approved a $3.1-million funding agreement between the city and the primary developer of the Ladera planned community. Located east of Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch will consist of about 8,100 homes and will require road improvements to Crown Valley Parkway.
The parkway will be the main connector between Interstate 5 and the planned community. The developer, DMB Ladera LLC, has agreed to pay for all of the widening costs. Construction is scheduled to begin this summer and be completed by December 2000. Information: (949) 470-3000.
