In need of holiday cash? Uncle Sam is holding tax refund checks for 10 residents in the 92677--Laguna Niguel--ZIP Code that were sent back to the IRS because addresses were not legible, the taxpayer moved and other reasons, said officials at the IRS Southern District Office.
The refund checks range from $3 to $20,000, a spokesman at the Laguna Niguel office said.
Residents can find out if they’re on the list by calling (800) 829-1040 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
