The City Council recently appointed longtime resident and real estate attorney Mark Rosen to fill a vacant council seat. Rosen has been a planning commissioner, has worked with the Neighborhood Improvement and Conservation Commission, and supports the Harbor Boulevard redevelopment. After several hours and a handful of nominations, Mayor Bruce Broadwater eventually nominated Rosen, and Councilman Mark Leyes seconded the motion. This nomination came despite residents’ suggestions to reinstall longtime Councilman Bob Dinsen.
