Starting Jan. 3, the Orange County Marine Institute will be offering its third annual Marine Mammal Lecture Series in celebration of the International Year of the Ocean.
The free lectures will offer insights into the whales, dolphins and pinnipeds off our coast, according to organizers. Each lecture will be followed by a 2 1/2-hour “exploration cruise” aboard the Marine Institute’s 70-foot vessel, R/V Sea Explorer.
The program will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays until April. Cruise prices are $20 for adults, $14 for children and senior citizens. Reservations: (949) 496-2274.
