Nathan Fikse of Esperanza High, who was The Times all-Orange County kicker, has committed to UCLA, along with two prep All-Americans.
Fikse made eight of 11 field goals, including one from 56 yards this season for the Aztecs. He will be joined by prep All-Americans Jerry Owens, a wide receiver from Newhall Hart High and offensive lineman Shane Lehmann from Corona.
It was a big weekend for Bruin recruiting. Also committing were twins David and Matt Ball, defensive ends from Dixon, Calif.
Owens is the eighth player from Hart in the last 15 years to accept a football scholarship to UCLA, following Chris Block, Steve Mehr, Jim Bonds, Brian Jacobs, Brian Allen, George Kase and Cody Joyce.
