Matador Women End Losing Streak

Despite a quiet night from Edniesha Curry, Cal State Northridge snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 84-74, in a nonconference women’s basketball game at San Luis Obispo.
Curry, the nation’s fifth-leading scorer with a 24.9-point average, was held to nine and took only five shots.
Lynda Amari scored 19 points and Tina Greer had 17 to make up for Curry’s sluggish performance for the Matadors (5-4).
Keisha Harris had 12 points and seven rebounds.
Northridge recovered from a nine-point halftime deficit, outscoring the Mustangs (5-3), 47-28, in the second half.
