Montand Paternity Claim Is Denied

An appeals court ruled that late French singer and actor Yves Montand did not father a young woman who claims to be his daughter. Throughout his life, Montand denied that Aurore Drossart, 23, was his child, and he refused to undergo DNA tests. After years of trying, Drossart and her mother won a court-ordered exhumation of Montand’s corpse. It was carried out in March, and tests came out negative. Drossart’s mother, Anne Fleurange, said she would appeal to the highest court.
