A proposal to tear down the Shore Shop on Seal Beach Boulevard and build eight homes in its place won approval from the City Council this week. The property’s co-owner, Mario Musso, said that after 30 years, the store was no longer getting enough business; he hopes to relocate elsewhere in Seal Beach. The proposed Anaheim Bay Villas won support from most of its residential neighbors, but one business owner said he feared losing the store would hurt the remaining businesses in the area.
