Cypress College has its sights on raising $125,000 through its 24th annual Americana Awards Banquet, which will be held in February.

The Cypress College Foundation kicked off the event with a reception earlier this month. More than 500 guests are expected to attend the banquet, which honors residents who have made significant contributions to the Orange County community. Proceeds from the banquet and awards dinner will go toward scholarships and educational needs.

The event will be Feb. 27 at the Disneyland Hotel. Tickets are $150 per person and $1,500 for a table of 10. A founder’s table is $2,500. Information: (714) 826-2220.
