Meade Reports Record Quarterly Net

Meade Instruments Corp., Irvine designer and manufacturer of telescopes and accessories, reported record net income and sales for the third quarter.
The company said it earned $3.9 million, or 56 cents a share, for the three months ended Nov. 30, up 56% from $2.5 million, or 37 cents a share, a year earlier.
Sales rose 29% to $31.2 million from $24.1 million.
