Amy Skieresz of Arizona has been selected Pacific 10 Conference women’s runner of the year an unprecedented fourth consecutive time.
Skieresz, a 1995 graduate of Agoura High, joins USC swimmer David Wharton (1988-91) as the only individuals to be selected Pac-10 athlete of the year four times.
Skieresz, a seven-time NCAA champion in cross-country and track, won her fourth consecutive Pac-10 and West regional cross-country titles this year and finished second in the NCAA championships for a third time.
GIRLS’ TENNIS
Brooke Borisoff of Agoura High, two-time Marmonte League singles champion who had a 57-0 record in sets this season, was selected the league’s most valuable player.
Other members of the team include singles players Mindy Gondrez of Simi Valley, Alyson Tyson of Agoura and Nina Yaftali of Westlake, and doubles players Margo O’Donnell, Rebecca Hunau, Stella Chu and Courtney Lind of Simi Valley, and sisters Nicole and Brittany Jensky of Westlake.

Westlake High will host a softball clinic for recreational and travel-ball players Dec. 21-23 from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Instructors include Kathy Slaten of Cal State Northridge, a four-time Division II All-American; Susie Parra of Arizona, a three-time Division I All-American; and Kim Maher, a 1996 Olympian.
