The Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Valley welcomed 250 low-income children from Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley to a Christmas party Saturday. The club had raised nearly $5,000 at an auction in September to be able to offer gifts, food and party attractions such as moon bounces, caricature artists and balloon-makers.
A number of local agencies and individuals contributed to the cause, including the Huntington Beach Sunrise Rotary, which sent the elves, and the Fountain Valley Kiwanis, which provided lunch. Each child left with a toy collected by Toys for Tots.
