Revenue Increases 12% at National Technical Systems

Continued strong demand for skilled information-technology workers helped push revenue at National Technical Systems up 12% to a record $68 million for the first nine months of fiscal 1999, which ended Oct. 31. That was up from $60.5 million in the same period the previous year.
Net income before one-time charges, including costs associated with the Calabasas-based company’s merger with XXCAL, was $2.85 million, or 33 cents per diluted share for the nine-month period in fiscal 1999, against $2.75 million, or 33 cents per diluted share, in the 1998 period.
After one-time charges, earnings for the first nine months of fiscal 1999 were $1.47 million, or 17 cents per diluted share.
The company also posted record revenue for the six months that ended July 31.
