Re “Official’s Husband Sentenced for Theft,” Dec. 5.
“The husband of a Moorpark councilwoman . . . “ the news article reads. I question what significance the relationship has to the story. The woman has already been vilified and probably embarrassed by his actions. What does the fact that he was married to someone have to do with it?
I’m sorry, but you and the rest of the media seem to have taken the idea that to make a story worthwhile it must contain all the details of things that are not important.
Please stick to reporting the news as it happens. Good and bad. If you have a commentary on any aspect of it, put it in a section of the paper called Commentary. Duh!
