The Yugoslavian men’s water polo team took an early lead against the United States and held on for a 5-4 victory in an exhibition game at Stanford.

California’s Chris Oeding (Corona del Mar High) and Bret Albright, Brad Schumacher of Pacific and Tony Azevedo, a junior at Long Beach Wilson, scored for the U.S. team. Nenad Vukanic had three goals to lead Yugoslavia.
