Monroe 1, Van Nuys 0--Danny Corrales scored from 15 yards in the 70th minute for the Vikings (4-0, 4-0) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Van Nuys.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Chaminade 5, Brentwood 1--Kim Taylor had two goals and an assist in her second game back from an injured left ankle for the Eagles in a quarterfinal victory at the El Segundo tournament.
Mindy Wyatt had the first goal for Chaminade (4-1), which scored all of its goals in the first 20 minutes. Jennifer Valentine and Tara Donahue also scored.
Laura Bosserman, sister of Chaminade player Julie Bosserman, scored for Brentwood (5-1).
Campbell Hall 4, Rosamond 0--Courtney Asbury had two goals and two assists for the Vikings (3-0) at Campbell Hall.
GIRLS’ TENNIS
City Section individual tournament--Shannon Slotnick and Valerie Ramirez of Granada Hills beat teammates Andrea Blieden and Jennifer Steinberg, 6-2, 6-4, in a doubles semifinal at the L.A. Fitness Warner Center Racket Club.
Ramirez and Slotnick (20-1), seeded No. 2, will play top-seeded Marisa Edwards and Lauren Sykulsky of University for the title at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
