SAN FRANCISCO — A postal worker who disappeared for nine days was charged Friday with stealing $58,000 in postal receipts.
Pablo Molina, 46, of San Francisco was being held on federal charges of mail theft. He is a 26-year veteran of the Postal Service. He was arraigned at the federal magistrate’s office Friday morning.
Molina was reported missing Dec. 1 when his mail truck turned up abandoned in a San Francisco alley.
Police tracked him down late Thursday afternoon after employees at a Thai restaurant in Oakland called 911 saying that Molina needed assistance. He apparently was high on drugs, authorities said.
