For an alternative to fighting the mobs of holiday shoppers at the mall, join local artists for an Open House and Christmas Boutique at 34193 Golden Lantern on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Sea Side Gallery, a nonprofit cooperative art gallery run by the Niguel Art Assn., is sponsoring the event. Organizers say a percentage of sales will be donated to local high schools for art scholarships.
