Netter Hires Sutro to Look at Strategy

Netter Digital Entertainment Inc., which helps produce the science-fiction television show “Babylon 5,” said Tuesday that it hired Sutro & Co. to examine strategies for long-term growth.
Netter Digital shares leaped 38%, rising 63 cents, to close at $2.25 on the Nasdaq Small-Cap Market.
The North Hollywood-based company did not give details of the options it might be considering.
“We are exploring several opportunities to expand our leadership in 3-D animation and digital special-effects production and post-production,” said Chief Executive Douglas Netter.
