Cosgrove, 64, who is retiring, will be replaced by Clayton M. Jones, the company’s executive vice president. Cosgrove was named president of the aviation electronics unit in 1996. Before that, he was president of the Rockwell Collins Avionics & Communications Division.
He joined the Collins Radio Co., a predecessor company to Rockwell Collins, in 1956, and held various key management posts.
