Birmingham 2, San Fernando 2--Carmelo Rosales scored with 10 minutes to play after collecting the rebound of a teammate’s shot and San Fernando (0-0-2, 0-0-2) came back to tie the Patriots (1-0-1, 1-0-1) in a Northwest Valley Conference game at San Fernando.
South Pasadena 1, Harvard-Westlake 0--Dru Hoshiniya scored midway through the second half to lift the Tigers (2-0) in the opening round of the Burroughs tournament at Crespi High.
Leo Benitiez made seven saves for the Wolverines (1-1).
Valencia 0, Arcadia 0--Valencia goalkeeper Wes Johnson made 12 saves to backstop the Vikings (1-0-1) in the Burroughs tournament at Burroughs High.
Lancaster 7, Silverado 0--Ricky Olmado and Ryan Bretz each scored two goals for the Eagles at Lancaster.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Chaminade 5, Monrovia 0--Amy Watts had two goals for the Eagles (1-0) at Chaminade.
Monroe 2, Westchester 1--Jordana Cail scored with four minutes left and Culema Mejicano added the winning goal two minutes later for the Vikings (2-1) at Monroe.
Burroughs 7, San Gabriel 0--Holli Holmes scored four goals in the Indians’ opener at San Gabriel.
