Alarm Forces NASA to Postpone Launch

A loud, flashing alarm went off in the cockpit of space shuttle Endeavour with just 4 1/2 minutes to go in the countdown, forcing the postponement of NASA’s first space station construction flight. The launch team began fueling the shuttle later in the day for another try early today, though rain and cloudy skies were possible. NASA has only five minutes or less each day to launch Endeavour in order to meet up with the first space station part, which was put in orbit two weeks ago by the Russians. The shuttle contains the second station component.
