SANTA MONICA — A walk to raise funds for a 24-hour problem gambling hotline will be held Sunday at Santa Monica beach, a spokesman said.
Tom Tucker, president of the California Council on Problem Gambling, an independent awareness group, said the statewide hotline, (800) 322-8748, receives no federal or state government support. The event will begin at 10 a.m. at Pico Boulevard where the street meets the beach.
