Carolers, Santa Claus and even a snowdrift will all be part of the scene Saturday at Balboa Island’s Christmas-tree lighting ceremony. Snow suitable for making balls, angels and men will be dumped in front of the Balboa Island fire station on Marine Avenue at 4 p.m. A holiday choir will lead carols starting at 5:15 and Santa will light the tree in front of the fire station at 5:30 p.m.
