The City Council recently approved a development agreement with Thang Quang Tran to build a six-unit apartment complex at Hope and 15th streets. The city’s Planning Commission recommended approval of the 17,930-square-foot development. The council has also approved expansion of a supermarket with Sunbelt Stores Inc. at Brookhurst Street and Westminster Avenue. The former Ralphs supermarket, at 40,000 square feet, will be expanded by 30,000 square feet, and converted to a Vien Dong Superfood Warehouse.
