Loyola Beats Clock and Northridge, 74-71

Taryn Reynolds made a three-point shot with one second to play, lifting Loyola Marymount to a 74-71 nonconference women’s basketball victory over Cal State Northridge on Tuesday night at Loyola.
Edniesha Curry scored a school record 40 points for Northridge (4-2). She made seven of 12 three-point shots.
Curry’s layup and free throw with nine seconds remaining tied the score, 71-71.
Viola Gamez scored 20 points and Reynolds had 11 for the Lions (2-3).
Antelope Valley 60, Glendale 46--Alicia Parra scored 14 points and Camina Stevenson had 12 for the Marauders (3-4) in a nonconference victory at Antelope Valley.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
UC San Diego 77, Cal Lutheran 70--Sam Higgins had 27 points and the Tritons won their fifth game without a loss at San Diego.
Danny Sweeney had 15 points and Mike Dulaney added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Kingsmen (1-2).
Hancock 81, Valley 74--Alan Thomas scored 24 points and Tyree Williams contributed 16 points and nine rebounds for the Monarchs in a Western State Conference loss at Hancock.
