Alyssa Imperial, a third-grader at Hansen Elementary School, won a recent Fire Prevention Week contest sponsored by the Anaheim Fire Department for her home fire-escape plan.
Alyssa won a free trip for her, her brother and parents to Calgary, Canada, in July, where she will represent Anaheim in a parade. A student and his family selected by the Calgary Fire Department will visit Anaheim and ride in the city’s Fourth of July parade. The Fire Department received donations to pay for the trip for Alyssa and her family but is still seeking an air fare sponsor. To donate: (714) 765-4069.
