Mike and Bob Bryan of Camarillo won the doubles competition in the USTA $50,000 Challenger at the Burbank Tennis Center on Sunday. The twins defeated David DiLucia and Mike Sell, 6-0, 7-6, in the final after edging top-seeded Jared Palmer and Brandon Coupe, 7-6, 3-6, 7-6, in the semifinals.
GOLF
J.T. Kohut, a senior from Westlake High, lost in match play to eventual champion Hunter Mahan of McKinney, Texas, in a semifinal of the American Junior Golf Classic at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., last week.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
La Canada High graduate Sarah Klang-Glienna, now a freshman at Bucknell University, was tied for the team lead in scoring this season with 14 points on six goals and two assists.
Klang-Glienna started 18 games for Bucknell, which finished 7-12, 2-4 in Patriot League play.
