The Orange County Water District is hosting an open house today to educate residents about the proposed Groundwater Replenishment System, a water purification project that would supply 200,000 county residents every year. The system will take highly treated waste water and purify it to drinking water standards. The open house is 2 to 7 p.m. at the district headquarters, 10500 Ellis Ave., Fountain Valley. Information: (714) 378-3351.
