Man Fatally Shot at an Anaheim Home

ANAHEIM — A man died Sunday afternoon after being shot in the chest while standing in the driveway of a home in the 1300 block of South Petal Place, authorities said.
Anaheim police said they were withholding the dead man’s identity pending notification of his family.
A police statement said the unidentified man was shot once about 12:40 p.m. by someone who fled in a car driven by a second person.
“At this point there is no known motive,” Anaheim Police Sgt. Mark Irwin said, adding that it was not known whether the incident was a drive-by shooting.
The shooting victim was taken to Western Medical Center-Anaheim where he died a short time later.
