Immature Grows

The latest major kiddie heartthrob group, Immature, scored with its second straight hit pop/R&B; single, “Constantly,” which is No. 7 on the Times’ Southern California pop singles chart and No. 9 nationally. The problem for the group, though, is that singles sales haven’t translated into album sales, which often happens with artists geared to fans in the 9-14 age range. Despite the hit single, the group’s album, “Playtyme Is Over,” still isn’t in the Billboard Top 100. Dru Down’s “Pimp of the Year” is the hottest single in the Southern California area. It moved from No. 7 to No. 3 and just might be on top next week.
