GIRLS’ SOCCER ROUNDUP : Marina Beats Los Alamitos, Unbeaten Streak at 50

Marina’s unbeaten streak reached 50 games Thursday when Jessica Lyons scored with about 90 seconds left to give the top-ranked Vikings a 1-0 victory over host Los Alamitos in a Sunset League girls’ soccer game.
Marina (11-0-1, 3-0-1) beat Los Alamitos, 6-0, in the teams’ first meeting. Los Alamitos, the third-ranked team in Orange County, is 12-4-2, 3-2-1.
In another Sunset League game:
Fountain Valley 3, Huntington Beach 0--Fountain Valley (15-1-3, 2-0-2), ranked fifth in the county, got goals from Kim Green, Sharon Gillis and Karrie Layton.
In the Century League:
El Modena 10, Santa Ana 0--Kaylee Whitfield scored five goals for host and 10th-ranked El Modena (17-4, 6-0).
In the Freeway League:
Sunny Hills 4, La Habra 3--Jill
Landgraf scored the game-winning goal with eight minutes left for visiting Sunny Hills (9-9-1, 5-1).
In the Orange League:
Brea Olinda 4, Western 1--First-place Brea Olinda (13-2-4, 5-0-1) got first-half goals from Heather McCurry, Kelly Peterson, Erin Wright and Christine Sherwood.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Estancia 0, University 0--Jill Krupoff had 10 saves for University (4-0-2 in league) and Beth Ferryman had four saves for host Estancia (3-11-3, 3-1-2).
In the Sea View League:
El Toro 2, Corona del Mar 1--Sara Brochel scored 15 minutes into the game for El Toro (10-6-3, 4-1) and Kelly Sawdon scored nine minutes into the second half.
