GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Nebeker Scores 18 Points as El Dorado Rolls Past Katella

Jamie Nebeker scored 18 points, including five three-pointers, as eighth-ranked El Dorado beat Katella, 76-30, in an Empire League girls’ basketball game Thursday at El Dorado.
Michele de Bruijn added 17 points and Shanna Renken had 16 points for El Dorado (14-5, 6-0), which shut out Katella in the fourth quarter.
In other Empire League games:
Century 38, Kennedy 36--Addie Alexander hit two three-pointers in the fourth quarter--her only points of the game--for host Century (7-7, 3-3). Adriana Moreno scored 10 points for Century.
Loara 50, Cypress 41--Becky Joosten scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Loara (7-10, 3-3).
In the Century League:
El Modena 31, Santa Ana Valley 27--Jennie Foyle had 10 points for host El Modena (7-12, 3-3) and Allison Napier scored 13 points for Santa Ana Valley (13-6, 4-2).
In the Freeway League:
Troy 59, Fullerton 57--Troy (15-5, 6-0) went on a 6-0 run midway through the fourth quarter to take a 53-51 lead. Senior Jennie Wallace scored a career-high 19 points for Fullerton (10-10, 3-3).
In the Garden Grove League:
Los Amigos 54, Rancho Alamitos 51 (OT)--Stacy Tagatauli’s three-pointer with 40 seconds left gave host Los Amigos (7-11, 4-4) the victory.
In the Orange League: Savanna 48, Anaheim 34--Amy Klingelsmith scored 13 points and Shannon Pendergraft added 10 for host Savanna (5-13, 2-5).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Costa Mesa 75, Laguna Beach 27--Sophomore Koo Kim scored 17 points and had eight rebounds, seven steals and five assists for Costa Mesa (15-6, 4-2). Kim was seven for eight from the field.
University 48, Estancia 37--Monique Mathews scored 13 points for University (15-5, 6-0). Pamela Loud added 12 rebounds and seven points. Jennifer McCartin scored 13 for Estancia (12-5, 3-3).
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 66, Dana Hills 38--Melody Peterson scored 21 points for Mater Dei (16-0, 6-0).
San Clemente 58, Mission Viejo 37--The Tritons’ Emily Ela scored 14 points as host San Clemente (14-7, 5-1) remained in second place.
Trabuco Hills 46, Capistrano Valley 28--Sarah Warnick scored 15 points and had 11 rebounds and LaShieka Henderson and Dyanna Hatch added 11 points each for host Trabuco Hills (16-6, 4-3).
In a nonleague game:
Fairmont 37, Pasadena Imperial 35--Fairmont (3-1) held on despite playing the final 4 1/2 minutes with only four players. Katy Barstow fouled out with the Huskies leading by 11 points and her freshmen teammates withstood Imperial’s comeback.
