Drugs: Defining the Users of Crystal Meth
- Share via
In reference to Lisa O’Neill’s article “A Volatile Situation” (Dec. 1):
I resent her comment in which she states that crystal methamphetamine, “unlike cocaine, is a blue-collar drug, traditionally used by truck drivers, military officers and bikers.” I don’t know where Ms. O’Neill got her statistics, but as a military officer for over 20 years of service, I never met or knew of this problem. If any officer of any of the services used drugs, and no doubt there were some isolated cases, and it was found out, he would, or rather, they would have been immediately cashiered.
