Dead Woman Found in Surf

LAGUNA BEACH — A beach-goer found a woman’s body floating Saturday in the waters off Bird Rock Beach, police said.
The victim was thought to be in her early 30s but had not been identified late Saturday by the coroner’s office. The woman was about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed about 180 pounds, police said.
Authorities said the death looked like an accidental drowning. “Foul play does not appear to be a contributing factor to her death,” said Sgt. Ray Houser.
The passerby noticed the fully clothed woman floating on the surf line of the beach about 9:30 a.m. and notified authorities.
Lifeguards pulled the woman out of the water and attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Laguna Beach paramedics pronounced her dead a short time later, Houser said.
