Three people were arrested and one person suffered minor injuries during a large melee outside a Ventura bar, authorities said Monday.
It took nine police officers to break up the brawl that began shortly after midnight Sunday outside the Metro Bay Club at 317 E. Main St., police said.
Arrested were Ventura resident George Owens, 22, as well as Oxnard residents Andrew Fuller, 23, and Thomas Majeno 23, authorities said. One victim was taken to Ventura County Medical Center where he was treated and released, police said.
The melee, which was the second to occur in the past three weeks at the location, began when an unknown number of patrons started fighting outside the bar shortly after it closed, police said.
On Dec. 24, another nine police officers were called to the scene to break up a similar fight at the bar, which they said has become known as a trouble spot in the city.
Bar owners were not available for comment, and a police investigation is continuing.
