Charles C. Reed, executive vice president of insurance company Alexander & Alexander of California, has been elected 1995 chairman of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sixteen new directors were also elected. The 72-member board now has 12 female directors and more than 20% ethnic representation.
The new chamber directors are Peter K. Barker of Goldman, Sachs & Co.; C.M. Crawford, GTE California; Edward G. Harshfield, California Federal Bank; Maria D. Hummer, Manatt Phelps; Ki Suh Park, Gruen Associates; Jane G. Pisano, USC; Alfred A. Plamann, Certified Grocers of California; Dick B. Poladian, Arthur Andersen; Wesley Ru, Western Badge & Trophy; William C. Rusnack, Arco Products; Shinji Sakai, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A.; Larry Viands, Sears, Roebuck & Co.; Ron Williams, Blue Cross of California; Leonor Gavina, S. Gavina & Son; Leo Denlea, Farmers Insurance Group, and Lois R. Rice, Wells Fargo Bank.
