2 Small Quakes Rattle Southern California

Two barely noticed earthquakes, one of them an aftershock of the Landers quake, rippled through parts of Southern California, officials said.
A magnitude 3.3 aftershock of the 1992 quake hit at 1:56 p.m., seven miles north northeast of Barstow, according to Cal Tech seismologist Will Huston.
A milder quake with a magnitude of 2.3 moved through Lakewood at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, part of a recent series of small quakes in that area, Huston said.
