STANTON — The body of a man who apparently had been bludgeoned to death was found Sunday outside a Beach Boulevard movie theater, police said.
The man was found lying on the ground about 12:15 p.m. on the north side of the theater at 11350 Beach Blvd., said Lt. Rex Hatch of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The man had suffered “major head trauma, possibly a bludgeoning,” Hatch said.
An official with the county coroner’s office said the man had been identified late Sunday but would not release the name.
An investigation is continuing, Hatch said.
