Southwest Pilots Ratify 10-Year Contract: Southwest Airlines Co. said its pilots have ratified an unprecedented 10-year contract that gives them stock options instead of pay raises during the next five years. The Dallas-based carrier is the first major U.S. airline to sign its pilots to a long-term contract, and one of the few to successfully use equity to lower labor costs.
