Three Southeast Los Angeles County men were killed last week in an automobile accident on a highway 40 miles east of Kingman, Ariz.
Anthony Gonzales, 28, of Cudahy; Sergio Vasquez, 25, of South Gate, and Jose Quintero, 36, of Bell, died Monday of massive head injuries after their vehicle rolled over six to eight times on Interstate 40, a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
Gonzales was driving the 1988 Honda four-door at speeds of up to 85 m.p.h. when he lost control on a turn, Lt. Frank Lopez said. Gonzales overcorrected and the car flipped, throwing both passengers from the car. Gonzales was the only one wearing a seat belt, he said.
Authorities believe the men were returning to Cudahy from a trip to Dallas.
