Woodbridge Needs Overtime to Beat Irvine

IRVINE — Woodbridge, one of the favorites in the Sea View League, had to go to overtime Friday to avoid starting league play 0-3.
The Warriors defeated Irvine, 79-66, and made 34 of 51 free throws in the process in the game played at Irvine.
Woodbridge (12-7, 1-2) scored 17 points in overtime after rebounding from a 10-point deficit after three quarters.
Chris Burgess scored 26 points for Woodbridge.
Irvine (7-12, 1-2), which made 11 of 26 free throws, was led by Darrell Parker’s 18 points.
