The city is offering two eight-week dance classes for adults this winter--a social dance class to prepare for spring formals and the “Come Dance Country” class for summer barnstorming.
The social dance class teaches West Coast swing, waltz, fox trot, cha-cha, salsa, tango, rumba and samba styles. Classes will meet at 7 p.m. Thursdays.
“Come Dance Country” focuses on partner dances like the Texas two-step and cowboy cha-cha. Some partner line dances will also be taught. Classes will meet at 8 p.m. Thursdays.
Both classes begin Jan. 19. The fee for each class is $29. Partners are suggested but not required. For more information or to register, call the Recreation Department at (714) 993-8232.
Classes will be in the Main Room at Backs Community Building, 201 N. Bradford Ave.
