STANTON : City to Spend $20,000 to Fix Lampson Ave.

The city will repair a 150-foot portion of Lampson Avenue where the pavement is starting to sink.
The City Council authorized the emergency repair at Tuesday’s City Council meeting and awarded the job to the Orange-based R.J. Noble Co. for $20,000.
The problem, at Beach Boulevard and Lampson Avenue, is being caused by a leaking storm drain, said Michael Kim, interim city engineer.
“The mortar joints on the storm drain have deteriorated,” he said. “We ran a camera through there, and that’s what it looks like.”
