Isuzu Sales Up: A report last week of a big 1994 increase in the sale of light trucks and autos imported and distributed by Southern California-based companies omitted American Isuzu Motors. The company, based in City of Industry, had not yet released its calendar-year results.
So for the record, Isuzu--which made the Amigo, Rodeo and Trooper sport utility vehicles--posted a 5% sales increase in 1994, moving 117,270 vehicles, up from 111,828 for the previous year. (The Amigo was dropped for the 1995 model year, which began in September.)
