HUNTINGTON BEACH : Car Maker’s Loan of 8 Trucks Extended

The City Council last week approved the extension of its agreement with the Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors Corp. to provide the city with eight safety vehicles.
Community Services Director Ron Hagan said in exchange for use of the S-10 trucks--valued at $160,000--Chevrolet has exclusive promotional rights.
For instance, Chevrolet can advertise the trucks at beach events and the trucks are designated as the official vehicle of “Surf City.”
