Suzukis to Be Built in Bien Hoa: Suzuki Motor Corp. and trading company Nissho Iwai Corp. plan to open an assembly plant to build small trucks and vans for Vietnam’s fast-growing market. The venture, which will include a Vietnamese partner, will initially build 4,000 vehicles a year, Nissho said. Start-up costs are about $200 million. Nissho and Suzuki are expected to hold a 35% share each. The remaining 30% will be held by state-owned Vietnam Engine & Agricultural Machinery Corp. The firms said the plant in Bien Hoa, north of Ho Chi Minh City, will begin operation in the spring of 1996.
