Disney Marketing Executive Dies: Gary Kalkin, called the driving marketing force behind some of Walt Disney Co.’s most popular recent films, has died at his Los Angeles home of complications of AIDS. He was 44. Kalkin was senior vice president of domestic marketing for the company’s Buena Vista Pictures Marketing and played a role in the success of such films as “The Lion King,” “Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Santa Clause.” He had been at Disney for 10 years.
