Nogales 102, Bell Gardens 53--Bell Gardens Coach Charlie LaCommare’s main objective against Nogales on Tuesday was to keep the tempo slow.
However, Nogales’ guards Shomario Richard and William Porter weren’t with Lacommare’s game plan, combining for 56 points in a nonleague win at Nogales.
Richard and Porter “are great shooters with a lot of patience,” Lacommare said.
Richard, who is averaging 27 points a game, led all scorers with 30 points and 11 rebounds.
Porter added 26 points.
Bell Gardens was led by Joe Alvarado, who had 12 points, and Ricardo Lopez who scored 11 points.
